From Liptovský Mikuláš you can reach up to 9 ski centers, 2 of which are located directly in the town. You can comfortably travel to the largest slovak ski center Jasná, by SKI bus.

The world-famous Jasná resort is only 15 km away from the center of the town. Other ski centers are also open, and their operation depends on snow conditions. After returning from the mountains, you can fully enjoy the atmosphere of the town. Advantages of the SKI bus and Liptov Region Card
You can use the SKI & AQUA bus to travel from Liptovský Mikuláš to Jasná or to the Tatralandia water park. It will allow you to travel comfortably and without having to look for a parking space. It is also an ecological alternative to cars, contributing to cleaner air in Liptov. The SKI & AQUA bus operates in the main season from December 26 to April 31, 2025. The ski bus to Jasná will continue to operate in a limited mode, in the spring term and during the Easter holidays from March 10 to March 23 and from April 17 to April 21. It is free for all holders of the Liptov Region Card or a valid ski pass. Its holders can also benefit from 52 additional discounts, for example on ski passes, entrance fees to water parks, tourist attractions or restaurants. You can buy the Liptov Region Card at the Information Center for a symbolic €5 or get it free of charge if you stay in selected accommodation facilities in Liptov. If you plan to visit other ski resorts, suburban transport or travel by car is available.

PETRA VLHOVÁ SPORT CENTER - THE PODBREINY AREA
Distance: 5 km from the town center, the Podbreziny Area
Operating hours: Saturday-Sunday 9.00-16.00, evening skiing Mo-Wed-Fri-Sat: 17.30-21.00
Benefits of the resort: Ski on the slope where the famous skier Petra Vlhová, born in Liptovský Mikuláš, made her first ski turns. You can fully enjoy the medium-difficult 550-meter-long slope here. A children's slope is available for the smallest skiers. Here, your children can improve their skiing skills with the help of local ski school instructors. And who knows? Maybe they will also grow up to be ski stars. If there is enough natural snow cover, you can connect to the 11 km long maintained cross-country trail at the top station of the lift. It starts in the popular area of Forest park Háj-Nicovô and leads beyond the villages of Smrečany and Žiar. It is also suitable for beginners and will reward all cross-country skiers with unforgettable views of the peaks of the Western Tatras.

Cross-country tracks: They are groomed in a total length of 11 km from Forest park Háj Nicovô to Žiar. More skilled cross-country skiers can continue for 8 km through the Žiarska valley to the Žiarska cottage, under the very peaks of the Western Tatras.

SKI CENTER DEMÄNOVÁ
Distance: 4,5 km from the town center, part of Demänová Rezort - Demänová
Operating hours: daily 9.00 - 16.30, evening skiing: daily 16.30 - 19.00
Benefits of the resort: A fully equipped resort with easy and moderately difficult slopes. It is especially ideal for families with children, whose safety is guaranteed by a special separate ski area. Here, your children can train with an instructor, while you relax with a cup of fragrant coffee, for example. The center also offers the possibility of evening skiing, cross-country skiing, or snow tubing and an ice rink.
Benefits of the resort: A fully equipped resort with easy and moderately difficult slopes. It is especially ideal for families with children, whose safety is guaranteed by a special separate ski area. Here, your children can train with an instructor, while you relax with a cup of fragrant coffee, for example. The center also offers the possibility of evening skiing, cross-country skiing, or snow tubing and an ice rink.

Cross-country tracks: The cross-country circuit with a length of 550 meters is groomed daily and covered with artificial snow. In addition, the circuit is connected to the surrounding tracks, the length and difficulty of which depends on the snow conditions.

Cross-country skiing in winter, cycling in summer
When snow covers the landscape, the town's cycle path turns into a groomed cross-country ski trail. In the beautiful natural environment bordering the longest Slovak river, you can fully enjoy skiing that benefits both body and mind. The trail runs from the motorway feeder to the bridge to Okoličné, and its 4-kilometer length attracts not only domestic athletes, but also visitors of the region. A special bonus of this trail are the views of Kriváň and Poludnica.
From skis straight to the pool
After a day on the slopes, you deserve a reward - and what could be better than relaxing in the waters of Tatralandia? Relax your tired muscles in thermal, salt or clear water and let yourself be pampered by massage seats, air geysers or water jets. Perfect relaxation awaits you.
