The best buildings of Slovakia in miniature and the secrets of the underground in Jánska Valley

Park Mini Slovakia
Take a tour of 23 miniature versions of the most famous Slovak buildings, perfectly designed to the smallest detail. Admire the Bojnice Castle, Strečno Castle, the picturesque house from Čičmany or Urban's Tower from Košice up close. Children will especially enjoy the little train that runs between the miniatures and will make their visit more enjoyable. Park Mini Slovakia is located right next to the parking lot at the Hotel Ďumbier at the entrance to the Jánska Valley. Stanišovská Cave
Try a unique experience where instead of the illuminated cave paths, you will be on an expedition in pitch darkness with only a headlamp. You will feel firsthand what it is like to be a caver and discover the secrets of the underground world. An experienced guide will guide you through the cave, ensure your safety and tell you all the interesting facts in an engaging way. Of course, they will also lend you a headlamp. You can reach Stanišovská Cave by taking an easy walk through Jánská Valley, just a 40-minute steep walk from the parking lot at the Hotel Ďumbier at the beginning of the valley. For those who prefer a car, access by car is also possible, but they will miss out on a pleasant journey through nature. The cave is open daily from 10:00 to 16:00 with tours every hour. The embrace of nature and an exciting journey into the depths of Earth in Žiarska Valley.

The Žiarska Valley is one of the most beautiful in the Western Tatras and is popular also by families with children. Come here to breathe in the fresh mountain air and discover this picturesque valley on a 6 km long hike with an easy climb. At the end of the route, you will be welcomed by the cozy Žiarska chata (cottage), where you can enjoy delicacies. Strengthened by a good meal, you can easily return along the same route to the beginning of the valley.

Bear Adit
Take a journey into the past, where miners worked hard. They dug meter by meter in the hope of finding gold. Walk through the tunnel, which is illuminated by flickering oil lamps. With a headlamp that your guide will lend you right at the entrance, you will explore the mysterious underground. And who knows? Maybe you will meet a permoník - a mining elf! Plan a trip through the Žiarska Valley to the Žiarska chata and back, including a visit of the Bear Adit, for at least half a day. You will find the parking lot at the beginning of the valley.

Through the nature of the Kvačianska Valley to the historic water mills.

The Kvačianska Valley, with its stunning scenery, is not only a place of natural beauty – its magical atmosphere has also enchanted filmmakers. The Christmas fairy tale Čarovný kamienok (The Magic Stone) was filmed here. The easy route will take you through a picturesque valley, where you can admire not only fascinating rock formations, but also breathtaking views. At the end of the trip, you will be rewarded with a view of two historic wooden mills, which will introduce you to the interesting history of this area. Don’t forget to take something to eat with you, as there are no restaurants here. After resting at the mills, you will return along the same route to the parking lot, which is located at the beginning of the valley. This trip will take you approximately 3 hours.
