Town bike trail

Although the historic centre of Liptovsky Mikulas is a pedestrian zone, cyclists are allowed to enter it. They can move safely along the marked bike trail – an asphalt belt, which leads through the entire historic centre.

In the historic centre, cyclists can comfortably discover its greatest attractions, refresh themselves on summer terraces or in coffee houses and relax on benches. In the pedestrian zone they can use bike stands situated at the Fountain of Metamorphosis, St. Nicholas Church, and opposite the NKP Čierny Orol Liptov Museum (national culture monument). The bike trail leads from the railway station, where a new bike and ride system is located (bike stands, bike lockers, service module, rest zone) and continues through Rohonci Garden with an urban furniture and relaxation zone. It then flows smoothly through the historic centre -where there are charging points for electric bicycles - and ends at Rachmaninovo Square.

Bike trail - Forest Park Háj-Nicovô

The bike trail runs from a railway station alongside the railway line up to the hill Haj-Nicovo. After a challenging climb, cyclists are rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the Liptov region. More info

Bike trail

You can enjoy cycling, in-line skating or scootering in the beautiful clean environment on the banks of the longest river in Slovakia, River Váh. There are 3 bike shelters along the trail, several benches and playgrounds and workout playgrounds near the trail. More info

Water Slalom Area

The Water Slalom Area is situated on the south-eastern edge of the town, on the left bank of the River Váh, waters of which feed the water tracks. It consists of two tracks – an easier, called Váh and a more demanding, called Orava. More info
