Exposition of Carrier Pigeon Breeding in Slovakia

An interesting exposition, documenting the history of pigeon breeding, is not found in Liptovský Mikuláš by chance. After all, the first Slovak association of carrier pigeon breeders was founded here in 1923.

Entry fee: adults €1, children €0.50  children under 6 and teachers for free

You can view such exhibits as a pigeon clock used to record the time of arrival of pigeons from the race, family rings, exhibition cages or a transport basket for transporting pigeons by train, as well as race documentation or a little pigeon loft from a farm. The exposition is located in the premises of the Pongrácovská Kúria (Pongrác´ Mannor), which is located in close proximity to the Janko Kráľ Museum. It is necessary to ask for access.
